Giacomo Zanello, Wild Camargue (ANIMALS 2023)

I encountered this small herd of Camargue horses whilst I was photographing some distant birds in a natural reserve nearby my home town in Italy. Suddenly, the morning quietness was interrupted by the familiar sound of horses galloping in the marsh right behind my observation deck. I've rushed towards a clearing, running with the water up to the calf. This photograph captured those emic moments.
