Sarah-Jayne Eggins, Whistling Kite (ANIMALS 2026)

While I was working on the farm, I observed this Whistling Kite hunting in the paddock. With camera in hand I climbed up the side of the old water tank to get a better vantage point. While I was up there it landed on the top of a long dead tree and I managed to capture this image with its wings outstretched as it tried to balance.
