Mark Evans, Untitled 4 (PLACES 2023)

The Untitled series focuses on creating a sense of isolation and displacement. The viewer should have a feeling of aloneness and uncomfortableness when viewing these artworks. The large scale print of the artwork helps the viewer to be immersed in the imagery and completely engage with any emotions that may arise. The combination of black and white imagery along with the ‘untitled’ naming removes any potential influence on viewer, stripping back to their raw emotional reaction.
