Christine Goerner, Underbelly - A Tale of the Turtle (ANIMALS 2022)

I found this upturned turtle by the side of the road near a lake. The underside of its body revealed an intricate structure of shell and seams in shapes that fit together like a jigsaw. I flipped it over, but not before I took a shot.
