Will Rampling-Bauer, Unconditional Friendship (ANIMALS 2021)

After the year that was 2020 and all its ups and downs getting a puppy has been the most uplifting experience in the past 18 months. I wanted to capture the feeling of that time by taking his portrait. Although his expression isn’t one of joy or happiness I felt this photograph conveyed all of the aspects that make having a growing puppy so special - the curious look on his face, the building of trust and the journey of working out how you fit into each others worlds. It’s a privilege.
