Jason Fitzsimon, Transition elevate (Places)
I took this photo on my Sony z5 mobile while sitting in the quiet carriage on my train ride into Brisbane City. The image was taken at Brunswick Street station (I think it's now called fortitude valley now) something about the one on the platform wall and the man taking the escalator up, just in that moment said take my picture... so I did, by no means am I a professional photographer but I really am quite passionate about those odd obscure moments in time that we will always remember and cherish. I chose black and white because I have always liked it way back when I first started using 35mm film as a teenager. I have always struggled to afford to feed my passion with great new equipment so I just make the most of what I have. I saw Black and White magazine with Billy Zane on the cover and something about that edition of that magazine really has stuck in my mind and inspired moments like these. I wish I could have that magazine again. I have finally got the funds to purchase a new Sony A7 Mark 3 and the G master 24-70 to start so hopefully I will be turning out some more beautiful art.
