Willie Krause, Transformation (PEOPLE 2021)

For a few weeks a year, this shadow pattern appears on our balcony in the late afternoon. When I noticed it, I grabbed my camera and asked my daughter to be my reluctant model. She looked down, because the sun was so bright. Couldn't have planned it better.
