Patricia Sweet, 'Thirsty Day' (ANIMALS 2025)

This image was captured in an outback area of Cobar in the middle of an extremely hot summers' day. The puddle was visited by many local birds but these Double-barred Finches caught my imagination due to their beautiful striking plumage and well defined mirror imagery in the muddy paddle.
