Jaimon Roberts, The weight of thought (PEOPLE 2026)
This self-portrait was created during a period when my thoughts had begun to shape my daily life more than I was able to shape them. The repeated hands and fragmented movement are a visual representation of mental weight—the feeling of being surrounded by your own mind while remaining outwardly still. Rather than documenting a specific event, the image explores the invisible tension between internal experience and external appearance, and the quiet struggle of carrying thoughts that cannot be seen.
