Cathy Anderson, The Walk "Brianna" (PEOPLE 2022)

When asked by my daughter to help her with some photo's for her portfolio I was torn between the fact that this was "my daughter" and how I actually felt about sharing such a photo. There was something beautiful in this photo that takes it beyond that of simply a photo of a living being into something that becomes art and with that I felt I needed to share so here we are. I've called it 'the walk' as it embodies the walk that is the journey of a young girl blossoming and becoming a young woman. The simplicity of the black and white here highlight the beauty of the form at the same time giving it an innocent simplicity.
