Malcom Baker, The Stick Shed (PLACES 2025)

The stick shed located at Murtoa in rural Victoria was constructed during WWII as part of a program to store wheat grown for the duration of the war. This shed is one of a very few survivors. It was unique for the time as it was built with a concrete floor, and is possibly the reason it wasn't demolished in the years after the war. It has been repaired and is now open for people to visit and walk through.
