James Russell, The Poet (PEOPLE 2022)

Steve Wordsmith is a poet and vagabond. he has travelled Australia far and wide reciting poetry and sharing Aussie culture. He is currently Poet in Residence at The Australian Poetry Hall of Fame in Guyra. On this afternoon I was having a wander around Guyra's backstreets when Steve emerged from the back of an old building, hand stitching a repair in the trousers he was wearing. We had a fantastic chat and I took this photo of Steve as he recited the poem 'Darky Lee'. Captured on Kodak T-Max 400.
