Amber King, The Pandani (PLACES 2025)
I recently converted an Olympus OM10 mark ii to full spectrum infrared along with 680, 720 and 850 Kolari filters and took it to Tasmania. This photo was captured early morning while the snow was still on the leaves of the Tasmanian endemic Pandani. This particular grove was at the bottom of the ski fields in Mt Field National Park. I particularly love how the Pandani look like a chorus of curios protectors of their grove, rising up from the scrub to bar the way of bushwalkers, almost like a Mayao Miyazaki film.
