This beautiful majestic juvenile osprey, full of attitude has been on my watch since it fledged the nest a few months ago. It seems reluctant to leave its parents and the area around the bay where the osprey nest is and is continually sqauwking for its parent as it explores the bay. This day it had landed on the break wall and i took my dinghy over to get some shots, im sure it's used to me as the bird doesn't seem to mind my presence. The afternoon was late and very overcast making a grey scene which i thought would be great for a black and white photo. The juvenile's wings are edged with white and the feathers have such fantastic patterns and look at those talons! such a powerful bird. Captured from my dinghy in Iluka Bay, NSW.
