Melissa Alderton, The Middle of Nowhere (PLACES 2023)

The Australian landscape is dotted with the remnants of early architecture - old houses, barns - all shapes and sizes. This building was, literally, in the middle of nowhere. I was support crew for a charity cycling ride when I spotted this, so I can tell you it is somewhere between Ballarat and Canberra! I would love to know the history behind some of these buildings.
