Hedda Murray, The long dribble (ANIMALS 2024)
As I was leaving the Canberra Agricultural Show, I passed the stables where horses were being primped for their equestrian events. This mare’s handler was giving her wash down and hose off, with a final shwoosh of spray over her face and mane. As the last, long dribble fell from around her mouth, in that relaxed moment, she saw me watching. ‘Click.’ For me, this was our blue-ribbon moment! Canon EOS 90D, f/6.3, 1/800, 55mm, shot from about 20m.
