Amber Brentnall, The Little Wasp (ANIMALS 2024)

I captured this tiny little beast early one morning as it rested on our deck, sunning itself in order to remove any dew. I like how the backlit scene highlights the dew droplets on the wasps body and the hairs around its head, and emphases the largeness and darkness of its eyes. Converting this scene to black and white emphasises these characteristics even more.
