Amber Brentnall, The hanging Silvereye (ANIMALS 2024)
The light playfulness of small birds has always fascinated me, and this little Silvereye bird didn't disappoint. I like the juxtoposition of the horizontal composure of the bird against the vertical lines of the branches that are about to burst in bloom. The little bird almost looks like it's celebrating the onset of spring, and converting this capture to monochrome really highlights the silver around the bird's eyes.
