Steve Puli, The Glance (PEOPLE 2026)

This image is part of my project photographing little league baseball. The boy in the helmet glances outward towards the photographer, embodying anticipation as he prepares himself for when it is his turn as hitter. It reflects a quiet moment on the edge of anticipation. Rendered in black and white, the image becomes less about the baseball game itself and more about the spaces in between—the waiting, the watching, and the small, defining glances that often go unnoticed.
