Thanh Vuong, The End Of Summer (PEOPLE 2022)

I photographed Tom, Rob and James during the last days of summer. In these uncertain times, many of us in the LGBTIQ+ community continue to face hardship. But out in the open space, as the summer wind came sweeping across the land with a promise of change, we felt at ease. The trees swayed as a balmy night approached. A lizard darted across the river and disappeared into dry grass. Time slowed.
