Fabi Fregonesi, The dive (ANIMALS 2025)

Photo taken during the Sardine Run, considered the largest school of fish on Earth and one of the wildest and most intense natural events. Sardines attract predators that take advantage of this time to feed on the enormous schools, including birds, dolphins, whales and sharks. In this photo, you can see a bird diving in an attempt to hunt the school of fish that, this time, managed to escape.
