Warren Lloyd, The dead forest (PLACES 2025)

While photographing birdlife at Gum Swamp in Forbes, I was taken by the moody scenery on the opposite side of the wetland in the early morning light. I captured this image using my zoom lens. With shallow depth of field and low light, I wanted to capture the eerie light in this forest of dead trees.
