Declan Clow, Tethered on the Mekong (PLACES 2026)
Moored closely together on a small dune island, a quiet fleet of wooden boats rests on the banks of the Mekong River. The high-angle perspective intentionally strips away the horizon, plunging the viewer directly into the intricate, muddy textures of the riverbank and the heavily weathered vessels. It is a study of the delta's daily rhythm, capturing a fleeting, unguarded moment of stillness and the vital connection between the river and those who navigate it.
