Rachel Elder, Te Paki Sand Dunes (PLACES 2021)
We are often reminded that we are but a small piece of the landscape following a well-travelled path, before taking a risk to surf the contour. Te Paki Sand Dunes, a travel hotspot in the north of New Zealand where the soft sand of the dunes attracts visitors to surf upon it's hot, dusty landscape. The everchanging terrain invites an action filled day for many who dare to climb the mountainous contour, rewarded upon reaching the peaks over-looking the scenery of the northern most point of the island.
