From the deck of a moving ship in Alaska’s Inside Passage, this treeline briefly surfaced through thick morning fog. Shot handheld on a Nikon Z8 with a 180–600mm lens at 600mm, ISO 64, f/6.3, and 1/1000 sec, the image captures a moment of calm in constant motion — the forest suspended, as if floating between worlds.
