Jayne McLean, Suri Spots (PEOPLE 2021)

Creative use of local rocks with water provide paint for the Suri tribe to decorate their faces. Initially they painted their faces and bodies in one solid color with the flat palm of their hands. However this tradition has evolved to more intricate and precise patterns which are done with great pride.
