Liz Jakimow, Strangers passing (PLACES 2021)

This was taken during a rainy evening, when visibility was poor and there was not much traffic. Approaching headlights provided some connection to someone, but also showed the distance between us as all we could see of each other was the lights before they were gone. This photo was also taken just after I had found a new house (and a new place) to live in and the COVID shutdown was finally ending. It symbolised hope, even if that hope was as yet unclear.
