Janusz Molinski, Stone shelter at the edge of the plateau (PLACES 2025)

Photographed at Mount Buffalo National Park in North East Victoria, this stone shelter at The Horn on the southern side of the alpine plateau provides a window to the precipitous drop hundreds of metres below into the Buckland Valley. The textured granite and deep dark shadows almost demanded my final photograph was to be in black and white. The rustic picnic tables and strategically placed light provided an eerie addition to what is already a mysterious and moody location.
