Stilts spend a lot of their time stood still during the heat of summer. As the sunsets they begin to become more active and start feeding. When they do move, they are swift. I wanted to capture both elements of these birds. So as the bird moved its head, I moved the camera on a slow shutter, which created this wonderful motion blur.
