Chris Freelance, Solo sulphur (ANIMALS 2025)
Sulphur-crested cockatoos typically travel in flocks, but this bird arrived at the trees a few minutes ahead of the flock. Tentatively edging out onto a sagging branch covered in seeds, the stark contrast of their brilliant white feathers against the dark relatively uniform colour of the surrounding trees only enhanced the impression of isolation of this early bird.
