A close up image of a Social House Spider, a common resident of sheds and eaves in Eastern Australia. Despite being photographed alone, these spiders are unique in that they live in large social structures with communal webs. This image was created using a Panasonic DMC-GX7 camera, with Olympus M.60 F2.8 Macro lens and focus stacking of 29 images at f/2.8. The black and white conversion highlights the texture and patterns on the spider, highlighting the beauty of this common household resident. Taken on 21st Sept, 2024 in Ngunnawal Country.
