Kathleen Wilton, Silent Drift (ANIMALS 2026)

A solitary seahorse emerges from darkness, suspended within a dreamlike underwater world. Rendered in black and white, the image strips away distraction and colour to emphasise texture, form, and emotion. Light gently reveals the delicate contours of the seahorse against the shadowed reef, creating a sense of quiet isolation and fragility. The monochromatic treatment transforms the marine subject into an almost sculptural presence, inviting viewers to reflect on the beauty, vulnerability, and mystery hidden beneath the ocean’s surface.
