This photograph captures a towering mountain range Near Arthur's Pass in New Zealand's Southern Alps. Snow-dusted peaks pierce through a veil of atmospheric clouds, dramatic light and shadow play across the rugged terrain, highlighting the textures of both the icy slopes and the darker, forested lower sections.
