fiona Bowring, Self-portrait with stuff (PEOPLE 2026)

As an inveterate collector of stuff, I am often overwhelmed as the curator of my possessions. Many of the bits in this image relate to my three children–their scientific career, becoming a parent and getting married respectively. They also relate to my passion for photography and midcentury design. In colour, my decor is retina-blazing. It's nice to pare back to the form of things in black and white.
