Christina Stubbs, Scratch that itch! (ANIMALS 2023)

A white Egret perched on a rock at low tide on the reef at Heron Island. Mostly it scanned the rock pool for prey, but periodically it busily groomed under its wing, perhaps searching for itchy parasites.
