Belinda Nadin, Running on a mirror of blue (ANIMALS 2024)

This Monochromatic photo is of my Golden Retriever, Lola. Her spontaneous sprint stands as centre and the hero of the photo. I shot the photo purposefully to capture the reflections and allows the audience to view the photo from my perspective. The landscape presents as shades of shimmering blue, giving a glistening, calm, still image. With the running of feet across the sleek mirrored surface you would expect this to be broken, but not a ripple cracks the surface. Even though the rocks depict different colours, the image is dominated by shades of blue.
