Dan Ratner, Robert (PEOPLE 2026)

A chance encounter on a Sydney street becomes an intimate study of presence, light, and age. Isolated against an indistinct urban backdrop, the portrait removes narrative certainty and instead focuses on expression, texture, and the sculptural qualities of monochrome tonality. The directional light reveals both fragility and resilience, allowing the subject to emerge quietly from shadow while the surrounding city dissolves into abstraction.
