I took this image of my daughter as she stood on the threshold of an upcoming challenge, a rite of passage. I became mesmerised by her gaze full of vulnerability, resolve and quiet strength. In that moment, she was not just a 7-year-old child, but a person of remarkable depth - still and self-contained, drawing you into the silent gravity of her world.
