“Everybody’ is a collection of photographs with the theme that we are all equal beings. No matter who we are, or how we show up in this life. Finding our authentic selves is, I believe our mission in this life, and the most important thing is that we respond to this purpose, with comfort and kindness. Their needs to be less judgement and more compassion in this world if we begin with ourselves, we can then extend this to others. I have always taken photographs to be kinder to myself, and to find a deeper connection with others. I listen mostly, and connect with a person’s genuineness. I accept the present moment; and photograph what is, right then and there. I do not direct or ask anything from them. This has always felt convoluted in my process. I hold space and photograph the moments as they unfold in front of me, like poetry between the light, the sun, the subject and the camera. I truly love people in that space. I fall in love with people constantly; not in a sexual way but through their attention. We all have sensitivities and people are interesting in incredibly different ways. They make me a better person in showing me who they are. I often photograph people in water or in nature where I feel safe and calm. This is absolutely the reason why I continue to take photographs.
