Margaret Rochford, Ramshackle Shed (PLACES 2026)
I saw this shed in Tasmania opposite a chocolate factory. I loved the texture and resilience it showed. Stripped of colour, the weathered timber and collapsing frame of this forgotten rural structure become a graphic narrative of decay. The interplay of deep shadows and stark highlights emphasizes the splintered grain and raw vulnerability of a building slowly returning to the earth.
