One of our local Kookaburras was using my backyard washing line as a perch to scope out her breakfast options on a very rainy morning. She'd obviously been digging in the mud by the looks of her beak and, as I began to photograph her, she became intently focussed on the grass below the washing line. Whatever she was watching must not have been to her taste as she eventually flew off without a catch.
