Diane Todd, Puggle (ANIMALS 2025)
During an early morning walk in a local Botannical gardens I came across this baby Echidna (known as a puggle). He was playing in amongst the sticks and leaves and was difficult to get a nice image then he came up and over the log looking directly into the camera. Echidnas are related to Platypus and are only known to live in Australia and New Guinea. Along with Platypus they are also the only 2 living mammals that lay eggs.
