"I'm Reeneye from Redfern, I like your hat man" was my subject's initial introduction whilst I awaited my train on Newtown station, Sydney. We got to a chatting and established a connection before, on seeing my camera around my neck, enquired what I was taking photos of? I explained that I usually have a camera with me and was simply documenting a bit of street whilst visiting for the Head On Photo Festival. He asked me if I ever take portraits of characters such as himself? I said, sure, I can. We only made the one photograph, both happy with the exchange, we parted ways, and this is the result.
