Martin Barwood, Polar bear mother and cub (ANIMALS 2025)

Polar bear mother and cub were photographed on a small frozen lake close to the coast at Hudson Bay. I stayed on the bank as getting lower would have given a cluttered background. The sun was low in the sky, filtered through cloud. I set the tripod up on the bank and waited for movement, keeping up on the bank and waited for movement while keeping the bears on the same focal plane.
