Yi Cao, Plunging Head Down (ANIMALS 2026)

This backlit barn swallow image was taken at a farm dam of Dingee, Victoria. I happened to capture this bird at the right angle when it was plunging head down towards water, with sunlight penetrating its wings as well as reflection of part of its wings under its beak.
