A Pigeon sits on a wooden pole individually preening each tail feather with great care. Thier eyes slightly shut as they reach the end of the feather. Not a care in the world. Quiet, content and safe. Birds only preen like this when they feel they are in a safe spot, to take the time and care needed to preen properly.
