Time will tell to what extent the bush will regenerate after the 2019/20 Gospers Mountain fire, Dry sclerophyll forests are adapted to fire, but perhaps not their current frequency and ferocity, traceable to climate change. From the Series “Burnt Offering”, which aims to capture the aesthetics of burnt bush: the duality of appealing to the eye but then evoking a deeper sinister fear as we recall the devastating fires of 2019/20.
