Sarsha Rinkovec, Petrified Trees (PLACES 2024)

Sossusvlei "Dead-end Marsh" in Namibia, an ancient desert in which you can find a valley of 900 year old pitch black petrified trees surrounded by clay pans, dunes and desert. We travelled by 4x4 across deep sand filled tracks, and then walked a couple of kilometres across the hot soft sand to reach this amazing place they call Deadvlei in the Namib-Naukluft National Park.
