Jo Polzi, Peel Island (PLACES 2022)
Peel Island was once a leper colony (from 1907 to 1958), it's purpose to isolate those infected with leprosy. Just over 100 years later I take this photo from my boat, during one of Brisbane's pandemic lockdown peroids. Boating and fishing are permitted. On such a beautiful calm day this island would usually be littered with boats and people.
