Taygan Bassi, Ordinary Magic (People)

This image was taken as part of my Photography Honours project, researching the shift between normalcy and mental illness, and the subjective experiences we as individuals and a society have with it. The term "Ordinary Magic" refers to the natural resilience that we all encompass. This image is a self portrait portraying a sinking of self; but the emotion and pose are complacent, leaning to the idea of a natural adoption of resilience; showing acceptance and calm in a chaotic moment.
